Default Red Alert 3 - comic borders

hi guys,

last week i installed red alert 3 and played the tutorial,
i noticed the borders of any selected vehicle, which look like comics;
anyway the borders where smooth and like vector graphics, without any pixels.
also shadows were smooth.

in the meantime i exchanged my PSU
yesterday i started the game again (NO changed drivers, no change in hardware but PSU)
this time the borders were crappy, blurred out pixels! the shadows are BIG pixels without any blur at all. looks crap.
i did not change ANY settings in drivers or game...

any ideas how to get it back working like it was before?
or better... remove the cartoonish borders completely (i do not like em and you see whats selected anyway...)

it would be also nice to be able to zoom out further! viewport mod?

greets

The best way to remove these borders is by removing the entire game.
