Bought this game a week ago, NOT IMPRESSED WITH THIS SHIT. Yes, ok, it can be quite fun in places, and graphics look quite nice but all this driving around in a stupid jeep which keeps on breaking every 10 seconds and then having to fix it with 3 turns of a wrench on some random part of an engine is FUCKING STUPID. God what has happened to the PC games industry recently? Last 2 games i bought are both complete shit - NFS undercover & Farcry 2.

I think am going to stop buying games from big publishers such as EA/Ubisoft from now on. Only smaller games-makers as they are not soo profit-driven-hungry and as a result the quality is usually much better...

NO MORE EA or UBISOFT GAMES! - BOYCOTT BOYCOTT BOYCOTT BOYCOTT BOYCOTT!

The graphics aren't that great either. It's just optimized to get high framerates along with some serious bugs with DX10 (Microstuttering until you cap the framerate + less grass rendered and poorer texture filltering vs DX9).

If I had the time and the complete dunia engine SDK I swear I'd make up with something legions better, more fun and action packed than this.

It sucks royally... i'm sorry to say it but "what a load of ballbags"..

..recently I have had nothing but genuine disappointment (in some form or another) from the greater majority of newer PC games i bought.

I think that EA and Ubisfoft (mainly EA) are destroying the PC games industry through poor quality unfinished products, lack of consideration for what the gamers want and generally being too greedy - I feel that with both these companies the last person they care about are the gamers. -So much so that i'm now really considering packing up and selling my rig. Now that i have my laptop maybe i'll just buy a PS3 instead and make a return to console?..

FC2 is LOVED by console ***s even though it freezes up and has all sorts of problems on their pathetic turdboxes.

I just reinstalled Far Cry 2 to give it another chance with its latest patch. First, the introduction scene was too long, too boring and not appealing at all (Ten minutes of sitting in a cab and then the hotel). The plot is very stupid! Why would anyone kill someone responsible for rearming? The list of ammo suppliers is too long.

Now you also get that stupid Malaria which is somewhat lame. Besides, it takes weeks to get Malaria. The scene in the hotel and the scenes after did not make any sense to me. Feel like they just stole ideas from GTA, STALKER and some other games. I play through until the first mission when you have to inspect some place and then I got bored.

Games are supposed to be fun, not boring. Far Cry 2 is not appealing at all, its freaking boring. Yet again, I feel like sleeping (seriously) That is surprising since I slept like 9 hours last night. I’m totally serious about it.. ain't joking. Something is making me sleepy after playing Far Cry 2.

Malaria?

I've been looking at some review scores ( probably should have done this before i bought the game!):

PC Gamer UK - 94%
"After playing Far Cry 2, I'm simply unable to go back to straight and simple first-person shooters. This game has executed my expectations. "[Nov 2008, p.62]

Have these guys been sniffing crack from between their grandma's ass-cheeks?
