This Action-RPG is looking really good so far. The demo is pretty hefty, though: 1.71 GB.

Did anyone here ever play the original? I know I missed it.

The early screenshots looked so much better. Crap console influence strikes again. Yeah PC gaming isn't dying it's just that we're getting console cancer in all our games! Sure according to wikipedia the user interface has been specially redesigned for each platform's hardware but the graphics seems to have gone to hell in a hand basket!

I've almost got the download completed -- about 15 minutes left at the moment.

Once I get it installed, I'll set it up and post some screenshots from my own PC. How's that sound?

Sounds good. I've just finished downloading witcher EE and a 1.7GB demo would not go well with my excrutiatingly small bandwidth limit. Lets have 4-5 screenshots from different angles and zoom distances plus the skill screen the character screen and the inventory, thank you!

Now, tell me, does it show any requirement in those specs for a Physx capable card? No, it doesn't.

And, I do have a HD 3870 installed and using the latest 8.9 drivers.

But....

When I try to start the game, this is what I get:

Well the error mentions nothing about "Physx" either. On the other hand that screen would be a perfect addition for an "Angry german kid plays sacred 2" video.

Actually, that screenshot of the error has everything to do with Physx. It's why I checked out which version of the Physx software I had installed and I already had a newer version than what the game requires. But, I went ahead and got the latest version, installed it, and the demo started up fine this time around.

I was merely commenting on the lack of the word "physx". Physics.cpp could have been anything from an inhouse physics framework to the famous physx engine. One would think that they'd use the commercial name for it.

Anyway the screenshots don't look reassuring. Could you redo the second screenshot from the end (that would be the one on the left of your last post to prevent any misunderstanding) with 8X AA/AF enabled?

I've seen that type of error at least once before. So, I knew it had to do with the Physx program. Once I read the Readme for the demo, that just confirmed my suspicion. But, the demo calls for at least a V. 7 something and I already had a V. 8 of Physx installed. Installing the latest one solved the error. So, just a heads up for anyone else who may download this demo: Make sure you have the latest Physx installed and, if you still get the error, reinstall it.

As for the remake of that screenshot: I've upped my resolution to 1600x1200 [max on my CRT] and boosted all of the video card settings via CCC to the max also. The ingame settings only allow for a max of 4X AA. So, this following screenshot is with all settings at max.
