So that's why nvidia is including the physx drivers with their display drivers. The error should have been handled more gracefully like telling the user to update/reinstall physx install of spitting out the bug output. Knowing ascaron this isn't going to change, they're just going to get more calls/emails to tech support from users who aren't doing this. Unless they include physx in the installation that is *cough hint (not that they're reading this)*.

Anyway thanks for those screenshots. Looks like they've included a mana system to replace the old cooldown based systen though unless I'm mistaken combat arts look like they're still cooldown based. Isn't this supposed to be released on October 2nd?

In my particular case here's what I 'think' happened re: the Physx debacle: First of all, I as stated previously, I already had a newer version than what the demo includes. (Yes, it does include a version of Physx!) However, since my own installed version is/was newer than what came with the demo, the demo installation 'apparently' failed to install the older version since any newer version would have to be uninstalled prior to installing an older version. So, once it did spit out that error, at least in my case, I knew what to look for since I'd been down this road previously.

But, you are absolutely right! They need to set this up to handle this much better or they'll be forever trying to cool down all the hotheads who aren't patient/intelligent enough to work through something like this.

And, yes, I do believe the release is just around the corner.

Finished downloading the Demo, a major achievement for the sub-optimal conditions it had to be done under but where there's a will there's a way. Currently my AV scanner is choking on it.

Edit: Installed and played. Short version: Not good.

I can sum up this game as terrible. The graphics look flaky, the physics are stiff and poorly implemented, the animations look as if I moving the mouse cursor feels like a console controller, this is inferior to titan quest which was released 2.5 years ago, hell it's even inferior to diablo2 and the original sacred (I'm absolutely serious about this).

As far as physx is concerned apart from being able to drag enemy bodies around by running in to them (which looks stupid btw) there was nothing noteworthy.

The demo states that it is not the final product. However one simply can't ignore the fact that this is a pathetic demo, is more likely to discourage people from buying them game and unless the final release miraculously improves everything don't touch this with a 10 foot pole.

If this is supposed to be fun I'd rather staple my tongue to the wall and throw darts at it!

SS1: The guy on the left is supposed to be dead but half his torso is in the ground and he's still trying to hit me (but he can't cause he's dead). *known issue*

SS2: Character and skill screens are not included when using the ingame screenshot (!?).

SS3: The only thing that looks nice here is the water.

I actually have to agree with a lot of your assessment. I tried playing the demo and holding out hope that it would catch my interest. But, there are just too many 'clunky' things about it. And, the fact that this demo became available so close to the release of the full game doesn't give much foundation for any hope of a more polished experience.

I even had one place where the camera view went clear off the map and showed the 'dead' space off the map. I'm going to post that one.

Another failed ARPG, add it to the list under Loki and Hellgate London and a few others I won't even name. I had high hopes for this title, how on earth they managed to produce something inferior to the predecessor I'll never know, although stretching resources too thin comes to mind (*cough* cross platform development *cough*).

Screenshots can't portray the horrible physics, voice acting, animations and controls. It would have been smarter to cancel/delay the release and the release of the demo. Here are some hand picked shots that look remotely nicer than the previous.
