quite simply because there is not enough game developers at the moment, so causing one to downsize, go bust etc will not do the community/business any good. It can also chase game developers away from the PC platform.

I understand the problems some have had with Spore, however I bought a UK copy, didnt even have to connect to the internet, it was 100% optional to do so, along with registration etc. No 3 time limit activation and so on. Yes I dont like activations, particularly with limitations as I change my hardware/machine often. But I think there are healthier(for the industry) ways to deal with it.

Lets see. Their best franchises have gone to hell in a hand basket. None of their current and upcoming games interest me anymore. They treat customers like criminals or potential criminals anyway. Then there's always their horrendously pathetic quality control. If I'm going to go through the trouble of purchasing a retail game there are far better choices.

EA need a reality check ..........their recent games suck.......need for speed pro street ??? wtf I want my old NFS series back, their sports games arent that great too and now spore , why do software companies always have to bend over and screw legitimate users ? is there any solid proof that DRM has stopped or reduced pirates ?

Anyways we boycotted games for windows and that became free ........so lets join hands again and teach EA a lesson, what say brothers ?

I vote no...not YET anyway. Yeah I agree they need to re-look at the way they interact with their customers but at the moment I don't think they have given me enough reason for a full boycott.

Hopefully this thread (and any others like it) will give them a kick up the arse.

You don't need to boycott them just because of their practices. Their entire lineup is full of crap. I double checked their list of franchises to make sure I didn't miss anything. Apart from good old battlefield the rest sucks.

they should be learned a lesson, they cross the line several times.
they release beta games.
they barely release patches to fix the screw ups.
the overall lack of support pisses me off.
not to mention the latest DRM bullshit.

if i missed something please extend the list.

EA needs to stick there finger in there own ass and sniff the shit they cause, i am tired being sodomized by EA.
EA gaymes f*** up everything.

i say yes . because there futile attempts to make us gamers jump thru hoops and jump around and ask permission to use a game from them if we reached "their" limitations . and in my own opinion i feel that the entire world should not purchase another EA game .
