or maybe it could just be me only with my quad Sli setup, but Nvidia's instructions for the UT3 PhysX mod pack specifically says to make sure that "Hardware PhysX is enabled" under the game's video settings when using your graphics card's new-found ge-force PhysX capabilities.
However, whilst using "Nvidia recommended" SLi settings (UT3 default) I have found that Hardware PhysX is still enabled anyway on those three Physx maps whether its selected under video settings or not, it doesn't matter.
So whats the difference you say? - all the effects are exactly the same so long as you make sure your system is working on "Geforce PhysX", but if I make sure I DON'T enable "Hardware PhysX" under video settings I see + 10-15 AVERAGE FPS !!
Try out this method if you're struggling for FPS on those three maps...its weird eh?

Also, these PhysX drivers are not optimized for use with SLI. Nvidia said that would be "improved" later. Though they did not specify when that might be.
Part of the thing I didn't like about these drivers is the fact that now only UT3 shows up as an "installed game". That means all my other games are forced to use "Global settings". |
