Default The Witcher Enhanced Edition - Release Mid-September

For those of us who struggled with the cumbersome 'initial' release of the game, the promised updated and enhanced edition is due for release this September.

Those who purchased the original edition and registered will be able to download the new content, plus two additional levels, for free.

The developers are also going all out on a completely repackaged edition that includes many collector items.

For all the good details, go to the official site. (Age verification required.)

O.K Dyre - you've sold it to me. It does look like a pretty cool game. When this "enhanced edition" is released i think i'll give it a go.

(anything worth going on about for so long must be at least fairly good, right? )

I've played through the original...with all it's problems and hair-pulling incidents...and am really looking forward to the new enhanced edition.

Loading times have been cut drastically; the problems with Geralt getting 'stuck' in various combat stances is reportedly fixed; and many other things have simply been greatly improved.

Here are a few screenshots from the current release....

I finished the original, looking forward to playing the enhanced edition as I'd like to try a different character build and I missed 1 or 2 of the "cough" achievements.

Not much left over of either after playing this game through 3 times, pulling my hair and gritting my teeth to the gums.

Today is the DAY! The Witcher - Enhanced Edition is ready for download for those who already own the game. It's a totally free upgrade patch for registered owners of the original version.

I'm presently at 20% download of the nearly 1 GB file. I'll update this once it completes and I get it installed.

That's great. Be sure to make note of the loading times and a screenshot of the new inventory.
