#1 | | Site Staff | Freelancer-Clone Hi Guys,
I'm looking for some Freelancer clone, but something easy-to-play, without too much shit to mess with it (like X2/X3). Something with great story and control like Freelancer.
Cheers,

Have you tried Imperium Galactica II? I played that one through completely and was looking forward to the sequel. But, that project got completely scrapped for awhile until someone else bought it out and created, NEXUS: The Jupiter Incident. I only have the demo of that one. Here's a link for info.... http://pc.gamespy.com/pc/nexus-the-jupiter-incident/

EDIT:
Darkstar One actually is pretty interesting so far. I downloaded the Demo and have been playing with it for a couple of hours now. The controls are fairly simple and straighforward and the initial tutorial levels are easy to follow.
AND, for me, the fact that the game includes Subtitles for the Dialogue is a BIG PLUS!
I took a few screenshots as well. I haven't turned up the AA at all yet, but plan to do so. The game is playing nice and smooth even during the combat sequences with a half a dozen enemy ships targeting me.
The game's been out for awhile although I never heard of it until now. So, it should be a cheap pickup game if it continues to be as interesting as the demo suggests.
It's also got a nice story-line. The main character's father is dead and there's foul play at the root of his death. (That's all I'm saying about it for now. )

#6 | | Site Staff | It seems that nothing will ever match with Freelancer with its plot, graphics, music, game play and mostly everything. It's even working on Vista x64 with zero bugs.
