I've got a question before I'll buy the GoW....
Whats with that Live account...
Do you have to pay every month to play online or not ?..
I've read epic forums yesterday and was kinda confused...
Someone posted there that gold account is for ranked matches or something like that...
If you can explain...

I played CoD 4 Demo, and whilst it was actually a pretty good game , I still think it felt a lot like the CoD WW2 Games just put in a modern environment (due to the engine being the pretty much same i suppose) - It was solid but i wasn't really that impressed to be honest....

Mac, the Live Account for Games for Windows will cost you $49 US per year. That does allow you to keep a record of your rating compared with other gamers on Live. Now, you might check the games themselves. I know, for example, that Halo2 and ShadowRun have a card in each of them that's worth one free month. So, with those two games, I can activate an account and be good to go for two months for free.

BUT, I really don't play online games so much anymore. Everyone wants to use Voice Chat and my deafness makes that impossible for me to use. And, it only frustrates those who don't understand the situation.

EDIT: Now, let me add this about CoD4! This is, without any hesitation, one of the best coded games ever! I'm playing this on my DX10 card under Vista 32-bit @ 1280x1024, high settings, etc. It's totally AMAZING!!!

There's one battle at a TV Station this is total MAYHEM/Massacre!!! And, I just finished a mission where I got to use a Stinger to take down a helicopter. Missed it the first time...got it the second time.

I just installed ETQW. The game has a problem with NGO drivers. Since almost everyone here had a negative opinion about it I was prepared for the worst. 15 minutes later I'm having more fun with vehicles than I've ever had in any game (UT2k4 comes second). Sure the graphics aren't exactly stunning but come on, it's ET with car derbies! The game compresses textures by default which you can disable by following the tweakguide. The engine is quite optimized, ensuring that a broad range of people can get in the action (important for me because my friends have older hardware).

I will try COD4 when I get my hands on it.

multi player is one of the strongest parts of the COD series so yes I would gives MP a thumbs up!
