When I installed it, a trojan was found in the uninstall.exe . Just curious if it's an actual virus or just something Avast is mistakenly seeing as a virus... |

Whatever your thoughts on particular anti-virus software may be, I'm more concerned that NGO may have some software with a virus in it and I'm sure they want to know.
On a side note, why don't you like avast? I switched about a year ago from avg, and have had no negative issues with it.... |

The internet security suite on my computer detects false positives once a month, this is with those internet security programs.
I wounder if there is an internet security suite that does not detect false positives.

#8 | | Newbie | | RAM: 4GB OCZ DDR2 (PC8500) | | It is impossible for any scanner with heuristics (read: all of them) to never detect a false positive. Some are better than others, but it happens with all of them. Also, there is nothing wrong with Avast. I would not say it is the best scanner (everyone has wildly different opinions on this), but the price certainly is the best.
You may want to read this: http://vx.netlux.org/lib/static/vdat/epheurs1.htm. You really only need to read the first section (should be #1). |

So far, seems to be like avg used to be, non-intrusive, easy on the resources and the reviews said it has an excellent scanner. I'm quite happy so far. |
