Default NVidia threatens NGO with legal action?

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Support of Open Source Software
and respected associates of NGOHQ:

I am astonished . . . Am I hallucinating? On a slash screen just before the latest of the NVidia drivers were to be installed, I see displayed on my computer screen a message from our dear friends at NGOHQ which read in part . . . and this is from memory, poor as it's become, " . . . NVidia is threatening NGOHQ with legal action for . . . " and " . . . NVidia has been hassling use (NGOHQ) and are trying to put the little guy in hardware development out of business."

Now Brothers and Sisters, I searched the forums for an appropriate thread to add my comments and did not find any . . . I hope this post is in the right place.

Let it be known to all the Brothers and Sisters that I have X'd off one large hardware maker from my list of vendor's i.e. Creative Labs for failing to co-operate with the wonderful Open Source people who make drivers for Linux, etc.

Let it be known also to NVidia that any thought of purchasing any of their products, graphics, MOBO, or anything with their chips, is going directly to /dev/null if HGOHQ is seriously threatened by the money hungry corporation NVidia seems to have become.

GeForce 4 chips in my ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe, Geforce in my 7950 GT twin graphics cards . . . man, I've been buying premier stuff from NVidia since Noah's Ark came to rest after the Deluge.

Hear this Oh Great One's at NVidia, "You are not the only ones playing!!!!!!!!"

Hear this Oh Great One's at NVidia, "After I installed NGO drivers for my 7950 GT x2 GCards I saw a huge increase in FPS while playing F.E.A.R. - Extraction Point.

Hear this Oh Great One's at NVidia, "I'm sure it is annoying and humiliating that NGO drivers are performance superior."

Hear this Oh Great One's at NVidia, "Any more complaints from the dear ones at NGO about NVidia management hassling them, and like I said, never, never ever, even if it means my life, I will not buy a NVidia product."

I am a peaceful person and I hate writing these kinds of letters. Let us live in harmony together. The success of one will enrich the other. I will prey for NVidia for obviously the Satanic influence of wealth and power have corrupted their soul.

Brothers and Sisters, please join me and ask whatever higher power you choose, whether Buddha, Allah, etc. to intervene, loosen the grip of greed from NVidia.

Then we all can have a Linux installation party at my place.

Party!! Party!!

Respectfully and with deepest regard, Bunghole

I like my 6600 GT , and it was great buy at its time , but after all this shit that ben going on latly im seriously thinking about geting ATi card now , even that i still remember how they cheted with the ****ing 9600 pro series , whit was total crap at high price at the time i got it. But now ... things changed. And im not focusing on Sli or CF. So good single card will be enought.

Bunghole THX for the post and positive support of NGOHQ.com. Noted you have been a member for a while but haven't posted welcome ... and please post more

The issues that I think were in question involved NV threatening NGOHQ.com over an SLI Patch we had available for DL here before you joined. That situation was resolved at that time but since I don't feel we got the support from NV promised after the resolution.

On that it's for Regeneration or Mainman too comment on ... as for the information and the thread where this started ...

And here I was thinking of switching to an nvidia card seeing as I'm running an nvidia chipset. Looks like my next board will be the crossfire chipset.....

I've had no problem recently running an X1950 Pro PCIe card on an nVidia N-Force4 mobo. Worked GREAT! I've moved on since then, but, Oblivion played and looked awesome on that rig.
