Default Just wanted to say thanks....

For the effort you guys put into your modified drivers. I hate netframework and look forword to the modded ATI drivers with the old control panel. You guys always release them in a timely manner. Once again thanks for the effort.

as i said... my post seems to have gone missing

theres no problem with .net framework, its just when software isn't written properly (like ati's CCC) that it has problems

good examples of well written .net programs, include DxTweaker and nHancer

some games also require .Net Framework now

Yeah, but don't ya know that ATI has the bestest, mostest, stable Vista drivers too! If you doubt read This Article

I continue to waiver back and forth on using the CCCs. They seem to be the best way to clock the latest X1000 series cards to their 'advertised' speeds. But it really irks me that it requires so many processes running in the background to make them work. (For example: this machine now has WMCE and there are 44 processes running , at least 5 of them are ATI.) And yes I do need to "prune" that process tree....

So again I say "Many Thanks! to the NGO driver team" - You guys are the best

no, i just know how to configure my computer,

the only processes that cause a problem are Active/Aggressive processes,

these are processes which take high levels of cpu power, such as background defraggers and high priority virus scanners.

50 of my processes are just min activity processes such as my keyboards customiser software, and Nhancer, nv tray, leadtek winfox speed fan.. etc.

nothing that steals from games.

closing all the processes is a vain attempt at trying to gain back 1fps, becoz thats the most you'll get out of it.
