Default A Question: When Clicking On Outside Links

I've noticed that when I click on links, e.g. the news links, that direct me to an offsite location, rather than opening a new window it replaces the NGO window.

Most sites where I do this simply open to a new window and I can navigate back quickly to the source site where I clicked on the link.

The question: Why is it doing this only here?

Once I read through a linked article, I'd like to close that window and simply return to NGO rather than click the Back button.....or whatever.

We don’t want to open ten windows (IE), and steal all of your RAM. When Microsoft will release IE7 officially, we will change this behavior (due of the new tabs feature). Since more then 60% of our readers are using IE (Don’t ask me why), we have to use this way of linking.

Update:
You're right! I will change it. If some people prefer to use camels instead of cars, it doesn’t mean we will have to use camels too. Thanks for bringing this up to my attention!

You're welcome.

And, I like your logic, too.
