I've been communicating a problem I've been having with this site ever since I first learned of it a couple weeks ago.
This site is so slow to respond and it's been pointed out that the main culprit is likely the "Contentlink" that is used for ADs.
Once I make my first attempt to connect, I get an image from my Browser cache (using IE 6 updated). Then, after a few seconds, the page will begin to reload with -- apparently -- updated images/content.
At that point the page will sit there sometimes for as long as two minutes with the indication in the bottom progress bar showing the number of images left to load. It seems to always begin with "64" and VERY SLOWLY loads these images over the next couple of minutes.
Should I decide -- as often I do -- to simply forego proceeding to try to get to this site, it takes considerable time for the site to "let go" of my connection.
Sadly, as much as I'd like to visit here often and learn more about the NGO drivers -- and maybe contribute, too -- as long as this situation continues I'll have to avoid coming here.
I'm posting a link to a screen capture I took showing the progress bar with the 64 items left to be downloaded. That screen was there for over a minute before I finally did a PRT SCN option.
Here it is:

I hope something can be done soon to correct the problem. I'll be watching for a response over at Driverheaven in the meantime.
