i had slowdowns with explorer today (no, i'm not a microsoft freak, i'm at the university) could be the net was jammed, though

But I'm talking about not a slow data downloading but web browser hangup when procesing that data.

the ad is loaded whether it shows or not, so no it can't be blocked.. all that can be done is the ad providers can improve and optimise the loading algorithm's by improving the code used to implement the ad.

could it be that the ad also breaks the menu
