Its never ( or not often ) used because its hard to see who else is using it at the time, you cant just "see whos in" and start chatting immediately, you have to annoyingly go back to another page and look for that tiny link to click...?

i wasnt asking for huge changes, just a bigger button link nearer (or on) forum page and ability to see who is inside chat room easier.. but hey, if no one can be bothered... :*(

I visited the chat today, but nobody except me was there. I really think that people dont use the chat because of the inconvenience of having to find the link in the side bar and click it, it needed to be more simplier like Google services using pop-up ( try it by logging in your gmail account then searching something in google, then use the new notepad plugin, it just pop up in the screen and you can do notes. ) I bet that doing this kind of work is really hard so we just dont use the chat, another thing that cracks me up about the chat is that i have to leave a browser page open (im not used to it). Maybe you guys organizing the site should try something new like making the chat in a separated window like a pop-up?

This thread has been open for almost a month for members to speak up and voice there opinion and few have. Rege is the one would add the link you mentioned and he hasn't responded at all.

For me I can find it easily enough if I want to use it or have time too.

xiaomhome I have used this chat program before and thats how it is integrated. Adding a plugin like VBpager on the forum I think would just complicate things and the shoutbox idea was dropped a while ago. I have enough trouble keeping up with MSN and Yahoo while reading on here through the week as it is.

On the link on the main page for the chat thats up to Rege and feedback from other members as well not just a handful.

I know its complicated but I was trying to give my opinion as a internet user (not an expert) that browse pages. I dont really know how to build internet pages (I have no idea at all), but from my experience with software programming I know that certain things wont fit everywhere I was just making sure that what I suggested wouldn't fit here. Sometimes I think that developing web pages is harder than software development since it envolves hosting, security and resources management witch must be maintained and revised everyday.

Yep understood Bro and thanks for the feedback and all the feedback on here. This little chat program is universal we ran it on a PHP based board years ago and has features add ons like VBpager don't.

Would be nice to have something on here with a button as V-Sync mentioned but was just concerned whether that change would make much of a difference in the usage of the chat room. I have a test idea though to see.

Guys how about I remove the Desolation Machine link from my siggy and replace it with a hyperlink to the chatroom for a week or two and see if it helps ?
