Going to uninstall / IE7 what a piece of shit I might better install Systemworks again

No wonder you're complaining about IE 7. I'd complain, too, if I had all those Toolbars, Search Bars, and JUNK included. You need to De-select several options.

Here's my CLEAN IE-7:

Go through that much work just to set up after a default install of a browser I think not. Not to mention the time it took DLing and installing updates Unreal2 didn't take that long to install. Heres how FF looked the first time I installed it and still looks after the latest update.

Did you see the second screenshot? If you want to use a Microsoft product that crashes and is reported by another Microsoft product (XP) 10 minutes after it was installed all the more power to ya. Your the one with browser issues not me right !!

No, not browser issues. Only NGOHQ is giving me fits. Everywhere else I go works just fine.....so far.

But, I also didn't have to go through a whole lot of trouble with the initial installation of IE7. I'm not sure just why you ended up with all of that. I did have to disable a couple of options. But, the last time I tried FF, I also had to choose not to install the Google Toolbar.

Well what I am trying to figure out is you seem to be the only one running IE who is having issues and it isn't the first time. Are the other boards you are on using VB and also using some of the advanced features like linkback and others Rege has installed here that might be messing up IE7 with your current settings ?

Yes, DH is using vB with Linkbacks enabled. I haven't had any issues whatsoever over there. Only a few weeks ago the site went through a complete upgrade and there were some bugs to work out. But, a LOT of people were posting about those. Since then, things have been fine.

What does get me is that these problems here have existed under both XP and Vista. Of course, with both OSes, I've used IE 7.

Maybe I'm about the only one accessing this site from Southern USA. ???

I will say that the site loading has been greatly improved. I no longer can brew coffee while waiting for pages to load.

But, I've constantly had to restart downloads of files due to the situation in the OP of this thread. That's one thing that I can't seem to figure out. Maybe if I create the folder prior to trying to download and just move quickly through the process, it won't do this. I'll see if that helps.

But, the download speed really is very slow. And, that could very well be due to cache servers on Comcast not being used for this site. Make any sense to you?

I'm not so sure. I have no problem downloading .exe files. I just downloaded the updated ATT 1067. I did have to restart it like before. There was a very small portion of the file that downloaded while I was creating a New Folder for it. It had to be overwritten in order to get the entire file the second time.

Not sure Bro but Rege knows more about this than I do. There is something specific to what you are running or your ISP or something man. I don't know exactly what *shrugs*
