UPDATE: For my part, it's much better now. In fact, I just now hit the Reply to let everyone know it was fixed. BUT, then I had to wait a few seconds again for the black screen to disappear before I could begin typing.

Still not sure what's the cause. BUT, it is MUCH better than when I posted about the problem earlier.
