Estimates of production range from $300,000,000 to close to $500,000,000 [USD].
No matter what it costs, it looks quite amazing!
I just downloaded the HD 1080p version and it IS quite impressive!

anyway - i don't see a good reason for a movie to cost half a billion dollars. i bet it wouldn't pay back it's cost.

#7 | | Professional Member | i've seen it on 3D as well, this movie have nothing in it except for nice graphics.
the movie trailer tells the ENTIRE plot, no logic exists in the things going on in there and a bunch of over sized smurfs with bows and arrows took down an army there.
oh, and lets not forget: somewhere in the movie the hero says that the human kind is like cancer that destroys whatever environment it stays in.
I, for one, don't like to be referred to as cancer, so I say the movie sucks!
AVP has more logic in it that this ridicules excuse for a movie.

#8 | | cel rau | saw the movie and didn't like it a bit
some say it's a new benchstone in movie technology, I disagree; like Noobi Zubi said, millions of USD used to depict oversized smurfs
