Default driver doesn't work after signing and installing in win 7 x64

Hi there, I have the problem that no program can detect the Hardsid4u www.hardsid.com after signing installing and running any application that tries to access it.

I was emailing them and they told me the Vista X64 works just fine with your tool for all the other win7 x64 users. and I used that for vista x64 too in past with no problem
of course with latest driver signature enforcement overrider enabled
and freshly signing the drivers and disabling uac and startin in test mode)

he drivers are installed
correctly but acid 64 and also the winamp plugin cannot find the device.
also changing port or removing all other usb device doesn't chamge the
matter.

Guess something more has to be modified for win7 x64

One thing I notice is an error message saying "publisher of the driver cannot be detected want to install it anyway? " right click on the driver sys and inf files say signature NGO but in device manager it says"singnature unknown".

thanks in advance!

Go into the device manager (go to the start menu, right click on computer, select properties, select device manager, look for Universal serial bus controllers in device manager and disable the ones that are not working, should have a black explanation mark with yellow background. After disabling that, just restart your computer. Try this, it worked for my external hard drive, that was unrecognized. Hope this helps you, Good luck

You can even simply Remove/Uninstall any device that is marked with an error in the Device Manager, reboot, and Windows will re-detect any connected/active device and install...or attempt to install...the drivers.

However, it's best if you have access to the latest drivers available for that device for the particular OS you're using.

Thanks guys for your replies!

I was confusing the hardsid.DLL file, there are two http://www.hardsid.com/drivers_apps_docs.php
One normal hardsid.dll and one HardSID 4U VSTi dll
I needed the first.
