XTrac Ripper XXL Mouse Pad Review
Published on November 29th, 2006

Introduction
In today's world Electronic Sports draws a lot of heat and attention throughout the world. The increasing amount of gamers in the last few years has encouraged many manufacturers to start providing a lot of equipment especially for gamers: Mouse pads and mice, for example. A good comfortable mouse pad is needed to provide the gamer a special surface that is suitable for gaming. Except for general hardware, the input device has a lot of influence on gaming performance and aiming accuracy. XTracPads is one of the companies that came on the scene recently with some equipment especially designed for gaming. A few days ago we received a package from XTracPads that we had been told included a new mouse pad.

XTrac Ripper XXL
In the package we received was an XTrac Ripper XXL mouse pad. The “XXL” stands for Extra, Extra Large. Well, you can imagine our surprise when the package was opened to find a nice black mouse pad that would completely cover a small student's desk! In fact, we have a small student's desk being used for a second computer and this mouse pad is too wide for it! We weren't sure if we should put it on the desk or wear it.

This mouse pad is 36 inches wide and 18 inches deep! (That's 914mm x 457mm!) It may not be large enough to use as a launching/landing pad on an aircraft carrier, but, it's close! It's large enough for a computer mouse, keyboard, a game controller with still plenty of room to move the mouse over an area still larger than most standard mouse pads. And, if you don't actually need a new mouse pad, it can double as a table cover! All kidding aside, one must consider the size of the Ripper XXL and whether it will work for them on their own computer desk. So, some pre-planning is needed to determine if this is a good selection or not.
