Today, we had a chance to conduct an interview with Raymen Wu, the
Marketing and Public Relations Manager for EMEA in parts of Asia at
PowerColor. The PowerColor brand was created by TUL Corporation back at
'97. PowerColor has already earned a good reputation and has
become very well known as one of the most popular of ATI's
partners. Recently, they came out with an X1950 PRO that uses Arctic Cooling Accelero X2 Cooler. So today, we will present a few questions to their Marketing/Public Relations Manager.
Raymen is already married girls, so please; stop asking us for his
contact information. Anyway, I had the chance to meet Raymen back at
Computex '06. I must say he's a very nice guy, and
it's fun working with him. Even through he's working for
PowerColor for less than a year, he's already earned his rep and
respect among us, the media. So what are you waiting for? Christmas? Go
ahead, read our interview. [Ed. Now he thinks he's a comedian.] Eran: Hi Raymen, can you please introduce yourself? Raymen: Hi, my name is Raymen Wu. I am the marketing and public relations manager for EMEA and parts of Asia at PowerColor. Eran: What is your position and responsibilities at PowerColor and how long have you been in this position? Raymen: I am the marketing and
public relations manager for EMEA and parts of Asia and I've been
with PowerColor for about 10 months. My responsibilities include
public relations, marketing events and activities and marketing
communication materials. Eran: Do you like your position and why? Raymen: I love what I do.
It's great working in the graphic cards industry, because
you're dealing with probably the coolest and most exciting
products. It's not an easy job as new models are constantly
being introduced and the competition is extremely tough, but these are
the challenges that a good marketing and PR person should come to
relish. Plus, I love marketing and PR. It's very rewarding
at the end of the day when you see your messages delivered. I also get
to meet a lot of great people around the world and I've made some
really good friends along the way. Eran: What is your daily schedule? Raymen: Because of the time
difference, I have a chance to catch up on all my emails in the morning
(I try to reply to all emails within 48 hours). I also try to keep
up-to-date on what's going on in the industry by reading all the
latest news. In the afternoon, I spend most of my time talking to
editors all across EMEA and Asia, discuss open issues with our PR team,
fulfill marketing requests by our sales team, coordinate with our
partners, etc. | | | ( 1 | 2 | 3 ) | | |
